Departure information
M'Hamid is about 460 km from Marrakech by road, over the Tizi n'Tichka pass and through Ouarzazate and Zagora; a CTM bus links the two. Our two-day trek walks out of the village through the Ras Nekhale palm grove to the Douibe dunes, and the four-day trek reaches the high dunes of Erg Zahar with three nights in the desert. The long treks from Marrakech start from M'Hamid too, and the three-day Erg Chigaga tour passes through on its way to the last 60 km of piste.
Treks from M'Hamid start at the Oasis Camp on the edge of the village. Getting to M'Hamid is not included; we can arrange a transfer or a bus ticket on request.
