Departure information

How far is the Sahara from Marrakech? Erg Chigaga is about 600 km away, a drive usually split over two days through the Draa Valley; Merzouga and Erg Chebbi are about 550 km away, 8 to 9 hours of driving; the dunes near Zagora are about 365 km away, roughly 6.5 hours. That is why our trips from Marrakech last from two days (Zagora) to five days (Erg Chigaga or Erg Chebbi), always over the Tizi n'Tichka pass and past Ait Ben Haddou. The long treks drive to M'Hamid, about 460 km away, walk for six to eight days and come back by bus. None of them is a day trip: the dunes are too far for a return in one day.

We collect you at your hotel or riad in Marrakech, or at the airport on request. The exact time and place are confirmed by email.
