Day by day

A half-day excursion of four to five hours to the Skoura oasis, about 40 km from Ouarzazate. You walk under the date palms, visit the interior of Kasbah Amridil, a 17th-century house kept as a living museum, and see how rose water is made at a small cooperative.

Drive about 40 km east to Skoura, walk through the palm grove, visit Kasbah Amridil and stop at a rose-water cooperative before returning to Ouarzazate. About four to five hours in all.

The rose season is in April and May. The oasis is pleasant to walk in at other times of year, but you will not see the roses.
